At least a dozen armed police are at a walkway beside a West Auckland badminton centre after what they are calling a sudden death.
RNZ’s reporter at the scene says the building in Royal Road in Massey is cordoned off and people are being escorted out.
But officers are concentrated around a walkway and there are about nine police cars in the area.
Fire trucks are also there and a police forensic team has also arrived.
Police say they are still trying to work out what has happened.
