Semiconductor giant Qualcomm has announced the strategic acquisition of MovianAI, a generative AI division of VinAI, part of Vietnam’s Vingroup.
With this move, Qualcomm seeks to expand its research and development (R&D) efforts in the rapidly evolving field of AI. The integration of MovianAI’s expertise promises to accelerate the development of next-generation AI solutions for a wide array of applications.
VinAI is an AI research company boasting significant expertise in generative AI, machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing. Qualcomm anticipates that integrating VinAI’s advanced generative AI R&D capabilities with its extensive R&D history will significantly enhance its capacity to pioneer groundbreaking inventions.
