Sydney is on track to break its all-time rain record as heavy rain fell across the state overnight.
Parts of Sydney have recorded almost 20 millimetres of rainfall in the last 24 hours.
A massive 45 millimetres of rain has fallen in Holsworthy, south-west of Sydney, since yesterday morning.
Another 100 millimetres is expected to fall across Sydney over the next few days.
Authorities are preparing for major flooding over inland New South Wales.
