Former WWE Champion Seth Rollins is set to turn his focus to Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE and Universal Championships.
Reigns, who has been one of the most dominant figures in WWE over the last couple of years, continues to have a target on his back, with his former Shield partner-turned-arch-rival Rollins being the latest one to challenge him.
The 13-time world champion appeared on Monday Night RAW to speak about his brutal beatdown of Riddle at SummerSlam last Saturday. Rollins then claimed that Riddle was out of the picture and now he could turn his attention to The Tribal Chief.
“Now that Riddle is out of the picture, I can turn my attention to Roman Reigns and the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship,” said Rollins.
A fight between Riddle and Rollins at the SummerSlam 2022 was removed with an injury storyline. However, the RK-Bro member still appeared on WWE SummerSlam to call out Rollins. Riddle entered the ring and demanded Rollins to come out and face him. In response, the former Royal Rumble winner rushed to the ring to fight, according to Bleacher Report.
Even before the security could intervene, Rollins landed a stomp on Riddle’s injured neck.
Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar faced off against Reigns at SummerSlam in an attempt to end the Head of the Table’s legendary run as the Undisputed WWE and Universal Champion. Even though Reigns retained his unified titles by beating Lesnar, the Beast Incarnate produced a memorable performance at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. He even destroyed the ring with a tractor.
Reigns has now completed 1,000 days as a world champion in WWE, according to Wrestle Ops’s Twitter account.
It was earlier reported that Reigns’ next challenger would be Drew McIntyre. The two are set to face off at the Castle Premium Live Event at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on Sept. 3.
