Warm to hot conditions expected for parts of South Africa.
An alert from the South Africa Weather Service for thunderstorms in several provinces and an advisory for a persistent heatwave in the Eastern Cape remain in place for the weekend as warm to hot and partly cloudy conditions are forecast for large parts of the country.
Impact-based warning:
A Yellow Level 2 warning remains in place for severe thunderstorms that come with strong damaging winds, hail and heavy downpours over the eastern parts of the North West and Free State, extreme southern parts of Limpopo, Gauteng, Mpumalanga and western KwaZulu-Natal.
