Secretary-General of ASEAN has an Audience with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam

Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn today had an Audience with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. The Audience Ceremony took place at the Istana Nurul Iman.

During the audience, Dr. Kao expressed his appreciation for Brunei Darussalam’s commitment and long-standing contributions to ASEAN Community building and regional integration. He acknowledged that 2024 is a special year as it marks the 40^th anniversary of Brunei Darussalam’s membership in ASEAN and the celebration was held at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat on 5 August 2024 to commemorate this meaningful milestone.
