Iran – Following the custodial (morality police) death of Masha Amini, protests have occurred throughout the country, including the cities of Tehran, Bandar Abbas, Birjand, Gachsaran, Khorramshahr, Mahshahr, Shiraz, Tabriz, Abadan, Ardebil, and Sanandaj.
International Hotel Group – IHG Hotels has advised that their systems are down following cyber attack. IHG noted that no customer data was lost and “IHG employs a defence-in-depth strategy to information security that leverages many modern security solutions.”
Malawi – A nationwide truck driver strike is scheduled for 19 September.
UK & British Commonwealth – Today is the memorial for Queen Elizabeth II, downtown London will be affected. Travelers may expect disruptions to their travel and availability of goods and services throughout the Commonwealth.

"Tropical Storm Madeline, located a few hundred miles south-southeast of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. " Japan - Typhoon Nanmadol hits Japan. According to the Japanese meteorological agency the typhoon made landfall near Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture around 16:30 on the 19th.
China: COVID lockdown restrictions have been eased in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Regular COVID testing, however, remains a requirement.
The Netherlands – A bit of turbulence at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. CEO of Schiphol Airport Dick Benschop has stepped down amidst the airport’s inability to keep up with air travel volume. KLM canceled multiple flights on 19 September.
