The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) extends its heartfelt condolences to Stanley Nwabali following the passing of his father.
The Super Eagles’ first-choice goalkeeper experienced this profound loss on Friday morning and took to social media to share the heartbreaking news.
NFF President Mohammed Sanusi expressed the federation’s sympathies, stating, “The death of a parent brings deep sorrow. We encourage Stanley to find solace in the fruitful and fulfilled life his father led. Our prayers are with the family during this difficult time, asking the Almighty to grant him eternal rest and provide Stanley and his family with the strength to cope with such a significant loss.”
Nwabali recently represented the Super Eagles in their match against Benin Republic on Thursday night. In light of the tragedy, it is anticipated that he will be excused from Monday’s upcoming match against the Amavubi of Rwanda.
