Citizen television’s senior political reporter Stephen Letoo has disclosed that he has recovered from suspected food poisoning.
Letoo was reportedly among a significant number of Royal Media Services (RMS) employees affected by the foodborne illness.
Taking to Facebook on Wednesday, December 28, the revered journalist said he was now in good condition.
“I am now okay,” he wrote.

Food poisoning kills one
Unfortunately, the foodborne illness claimed the life of one of the media company’s female staff.

The lady was found dead in her house a few hours after complaining of stomach ache through the company’s WhatsApp group.
In the incident, RMS’s Managing Director Wachira Waruru said in keeping with holiday period working arrangements, the company engaged a private food catering company to provide meals for staff working during the Christmas shift.
However, on Monday, December 26, some of the staff complained of severe stomach pains after consuming meals served within the premises of the company.
Consequently, Wachira said several staffers were hospitalised for the suspected poisoning.
The MD said the company was providing all the necessary support to the affected staff and the suspected food poisoning incident is currently under investigation.

In other news, detective Jane Mugo, while celebrating 25 years of her service, thanked God for protecting her all through the years in both good and bad times.

The detective pointed out that she has had both good and bad times and that God saved her from food poisoning, defamation, fake charges, and kidnappings.
Celebrating the milestone on her Facebook page, Mugo quoted the bible scripture Jeremiah 29:11, which says God has good plans for everyone.
The detective further revealed that during her career, she had built and visited churches, community projects, and many orphanage homes and handled cases of oppression.
