Tecno just wrapped up its first “World of TECNOlogy” event, which ran over the weekend. At that event the company confirmed that the two Pova 5 phones along with the Megabook T1 laptop are coming to India soon.
The Tecno Pova 5 and Pova 5 Pro will be sold through Amazon India starting on August 22 (Tuesday next week). Unfortunately, there is no official pricing just yet and Amazon is yet to put up landing pages for these two.

As a quick refresher on the two phones, they are built around a 6.78” 120Hz IPS LCDs (120Hz, FHD+) and have 50MP main cameras (but no ultra wide modules). The Pova 5 is powered by a Helio G99 chipset, while the Pova 5 Pro goes 5G with the faster Dimensity 6080 chip.
The Pro model stands out with the Arc Interface, three LED strips on the back that can glow a different color for notifications and even for in-game events. The vanilla model has its charms too, namely the larger 6,000mAh battery with 45W charging (50% in 21 minutes), while the Pro model has 5,000mAh battery with 68W charging (50% in 15 minutes).

The Pova 5 was announced at the end of June with plans to ship it to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. The Pova 5 Pro came a few days later on August 1 with the same markets in mind. Note that the Pova 5 phones sold in India will be manufactured in India too.
There’s also the laptop, the Tecno Megabook T1. This one was announced at IFA last year. It’s a slender 15.6” laptop measuring 14.8mm (0.58”) and weighing 1.48kg (3.26lbs). While its aluminum body is lightweight, it still houses a 70Wh battery that’s good for over 17 hours between charges (which are done with a 65W GaN charger). The T1 is powered by an 11th generation Intel Core processor with 12GB/16GB of RAM and 512GB/1TB SSD. The IPS LCD has 100% sRGB coverage and 350 nits brightness with DC dimming.
