In the NBA, some things look different on paper than they do in practice. As the saying goes – that’s why we play the games.
Teams that looked like playoff locks can fall short of expectations. On the other hand, questionable teams can click in a way that has them playing above their pay grade.
For example, look at the Sacramento Kings. Some questioned the wisdom of trading Tyrese Haliburton for Domantas Sabonis. At 17-13, their decision has been validated so far.
On the other hand, the Chicago Bulls were supposed to make the playoffs this season. At 13-18, they certainly are not on pace to do so.
By now, any player on this team could be a candidate to be moved.
Yes, that even includes Zach LaVine.
