It isn’t easy to keep up with the trends. For a time in human history, pet rocks were a popular item. Yes, younger reader, you read correctly. Pet. Rocks. Who knew technology could ever lead to the production of toys more fun than that? Keeping up with NBA trends can be difficult as well.
Nobody can say with certainty which will hold, and which won’t. Sometimes, an emerging trend ends up being little more than a blip on the radar.
For example, Russell Westbrook looked like he was turning a corner with the Los Angeles Lakers.
They were starting to win games, and it appeared as if they may not have to move the former MVP. Recently, the team’s play has declined again.
It may be time to move Westbrook. He has an unprecedentedly large expiring contract. If the Lakers don’t use it at the trade deadline, they lose it.
Here’s a deal that has the Lakers doing so in return for, in part, Mike Conley of the Utah Jazz.
