Everyone loves a good reunion. Two parties rejoining after being separated always holds good narrative value. That’s as true in the NBA as it is anywhere else.
It’s always fun to see a player in the uniform they used to wear. With that said, some reunions make more sense than others.
Some would argue that rejoining the Oklahoma City Thunder wouldn’t make any sense at all for Kevin Durant.
After all, this Thunder team is distinctly rebuilding. If they added Durant this summer, it’s unlikely that they’d suddenly become serious contenders for the NBA championship.
