With the myriad of amazing talents populating the Christian Gospel music scene, Anthony Uzoma continues to thrive as a unique talent. The singer has always surfaced with an exciting groove on his melodies, including his just-released gospel pop record, Jesu Republic.
“I made this record intentionally. I wanted to identify with the street and take the gospel of Christ to them. As we know that Jesus came not for the saints, but the people on the street,” he tells WeekendBeats on the inspiration behind Jesu Republic.
The Delta-born singer reminisced, “music has always been a part of him from the early days where he was singing with his elder brothers who are also in the music business.”
The award-winning singer and convener of the Jesu Republic movement commented on his journey as a gospel singer saying, “Life as a gospel artist has been a wonderful journey.
One thing that’s very important is to set your mind at what you want to do first as an individual, because a lot of discouraging words definitely show, and these we get every time. Because I sing spiritual songs, some radio producers might not want to air your songs, the support might not be there to push your songs, but God has been faithful regardless.”
