Two people are in hospital and Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge is closed after a crash involving a logging truck Tuesday morning.
Ridge Meadows RCMP say the intersection of Lougheed Highway and 287 Street is closed because of a motor vehicle collision.
RCMP have not yet provided any details on the crash.
B.C. Emergency Health Services however says it received a call shortly after at 6:30 a.m. about a motor vehicle incident involving a logging truck at 287 Street and Lougheed Highway.
Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to two patients. One patient was transported by air ambulance to hospital in serious condition.
The second patient was transported by ground ambulance to hospital in stable condition.
Police are advising motorists to expect delays.
