Van Nistelrooy Applies For Vacant Coventry Coaching Job

According to talkSPORT, (Yahoo! Sport) Van Nistelrooy has already applied for the vacant manager role at Championship side Coventry City.

This would see Van Nistelrooy challenge himself in the second tier of English football. It’s a decent level and it shows has desperate he is to work in the Premier League.

Coventry are on the lookout for a new manager after the recent sacking of former United player and FA Cup-winner Mark Robins.

Van Nistelrooy, who has managerial experienced with PSV Eindhoven under his belt, doesn’t want to wait around with his intentions set on a quick return to work following a brief interim spell at Old Trafford.

Frank Lampard is also said to be in the running for the Coventry City job.

An earlier report suggested that Van Nistelrooy has caught the eye of several Premier League suitors such as West Ham, Crystal Palace and Southampton.
