One of the top uncommitted wide receivers in the 2022 recruiting class will make his verbal pledge live Wednesday on CBS Sports HQ. Andre Greene Jr., a four-star wide receiver out of St. Christopher’s School in Richmond, Virginia, will choose from a list of finalists at 6:15 p.m. ET. You can watch the announcement live in the video at the top of this page, on the CBS Sports App or via your connected device (Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV).
Georgia, North Carolina, Oregon, Clemson and LSU are among Greene’s finalists. The 247Sports Crystal Ball does not have a read on where Greene will sign, but he recently made a trip to Clemson on Nov. 13 that could influence his decision.
Greene is truly a game-changing prospect and among four top-10 receivers that remain on the 2022 recruiting board. The industry standard 247Sports Composite ranks Greene as the No. 9 receiver and No. 71 overall player in the Class of 2022. Greene would be the highest-rated receiver in the 2022 class for every one of his finalists. 247Sports national analyst Brian Dohn had this scouting report on Greene:
Extremely quick off line of scrimmage with explosion. Gets into his route swiftly and accelerates out his breaks well. Elite change of direction allows quick cuts. Changes speeds within the route. Slips the jam consistently. Tracks ball well and ball skills are a plus. Comfortable catching the ball under pressure. Shows excellent body control and adjusts well to inaccurate passes. Makes ‘wow’ play look easy. Competes hard and is composed. Fluid and athletic. Foot speed is evident in how he releases at line of scrimmage. Has strong work ethic and it shows with his frame development and route running skills. Greene has strong hands and secures the ball quickly.
The senior plays basketball in addition to football at St. Christopher’s. However, his junior season was cut to three games in the spring due to the pandemic.
