Leicester City look to boost their push for Premier League survival against Manchester United ahead of the international break.
Victory would lift Leicester up to 18th and to within six points of safety, whilst Man Utd can go 13th with a win if Tottenham fail to beat Fulham in the early-afternoon kick-offs.
Team News
Leicester have no fresh injury concerns after their defeat at Chelsea, with only Abdul Fatawu (ACL) ruled out.
Man Utd could welcome Harry Maguire (knock) and Mason Mount (leg) back into contention.
Leny Yoro (foot), Patrick Dorgu (suspension), Jonny Evans, Kobbie Mainoo (both muscle), Lisandro Martinez (knee), Amad Diallo (ankle), Altay Bayindir and Luke Shaw (both unspecified) are still sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Leicester meet Man Utd at the King Power Stadium on Sunday 16 March at 7pm GMT, live on Sky Sports Premier League in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Leicester are unbeaten in four of their last seven league meetings against Man Utd (W2, D2, L3).
- Man Utd have lost one of their last five league trips to Leicester (W3, D1, L1).
- Leicester have conceded seven goals in their last three league meetings against Man Utd without reply (L3).
- Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Foxes have failed to score in their last six league matches at home (L6).
- No Man Utd player has been substituted in the Premier League this season on more occasions than Rasmus Højlund (12).
Prediction
With relegation now looking inevitable following Wolves’ win at Southampton, Leicester now need to produce another strong display like they did at Chelsea but cut out the errors and be clinical if want to stop their awful league form with no wins since early December,
Man Utd though come into this game off the back of a ruthless comeback victory over Real Sociedad but with nothing much to play for domestically, this is a free hit for the visitors and a chance to continue building momentum upon that clinical display.
As easy as it is to call this game a defeat for Van Nistelrooy’s Foxes before kick-off, they did a strong job at Utd in the FA Cup until a controversial injury-time goal denied them extra-time, which has to be a bit of motivation here but I can see Utd having too much for them given their poor home form.
Prediction: Leicester 0-2 Man Utd
