Wolves look for their first points of the new Premier League season as they welcome Fulham to Molineux.
Victory could see Wolves climb into the top half of the table, whilst Fulham look to continue their strong start to the season and claim their first win of the campaign.
Team News
Nelson Semedo and Adama Traore could return for Wolves after recovering from hamstring injuries.
Joao Moutinho (foot) is a doubt but Chiquinho (knee) and Raul Jimenez (knee) are ruled out.
Goncalo Guedes could make his debut after he joined Wolves during the week from Valencia.
Fulham will be without Manor Solomon who suffered a knee injury in their opening 2-2 draw at home to Liverpool last weekend.
Harry Wilson (knee), Nathaniel Chalobah (unspecified) and Joe Bryan (hand) are also ruled out.
New signing, Issa Diop could make his debut in defence for Marco Silva’s Cottagers.
Stat Attack
- Wolves have lost just one of their last seven Premier League meetings against Fulham (W4, D2, L1).
- Fulham are winless in six Premier League visits to Molineux (D1, L5).
- Wolves have kept clean sheets in their last three Premier League matches at home to Fulham (W3), during which they scored four goals in total across the three matches.
- Bruno Lage’s Wolves have conceded in each of their last five home matches (W1, D1, L3), during which they’ve scored six goals and conceded 13 goals.
- Marco Silva’s Cottagers have claimed seven points from their last five away matches (W2, D1, L2).
Prediction
Despite having snatched the opening goal against Leeds last weekend, Wolves’ forward crisis certainly proved evident with numerous missed chances whilst defensive marking errors were punished, although one positive from that game is how their defence created attacks for midfield and front lines.
Fulham meanwhile were jut fearless against Liverpool in their attacking intensity which saw them deploy a fantastic hassling press, whilst Aleksandr Mitrovic was simply terrific in his finishing and positioning as others wasted chances.
With that in mind, I can see a decent attacking game but if Wolves continue to waste chances and Fulham are able to get in their face tactics wise, I might just fancy the visitors to snatch a win here.
Prediction: Wolves 1-2 Fulham
