WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden today unveiled his fiscal 2025 budget request, featuring $895.2 billion in discretionary funds directed towards national defense. Of that, the Pentagon’s portion comes out to $849.8 billion — a number that defense leaders say amounts to an effective cut from its FY24 request.
