If you love to see new features on apps, the new WhatsApp voice status feature will catch your attention. This feature was teased to the WhatsApp global audience a few weeks ago. Now it is rolling out for usage and will help spice up how people interact with their friends by using WhatsApp.
The Meta-owned social media platform has been adding new features to its platform to help improve user experience. This voice status feature is the most recent update that is making its way to the public. To some users, this might be the best feature update from WhatsApp in recent times.
Share your thoughts freely with the new WhatsApp voice status
WhatsApp’s users are already familiar with the status feature. This feature has been around for some years, and it permits users to make a post that will stay up for 24 hours. The post can be an image, text, video, GIF, or even a website link, all of which the user’s contacts can view.
After 24 hours, the status is automatically deleted and is no longer accessible by the user or their contacts. WhatsApp is now adding a new option with which users can post status updates. This new option is the WhatsApp voice status and it brings some design changes to the status page.
With this new feature, WhatsApp users can make voice posts just like they send voice notes to their friends on the platform. To be able to upload a voice status, users will use the regular text status upload button. Tapping on this button will pull up the page where users type and edit their text status before uploading it, but there is more.
Just above the keyboard on the text status interface now lies a microphone. With this tool, users can record their voice and upload it to their 24-hour status. Just like regular status uploads, users can choose who listens to their voice status uploads via the status privacy setting.
This new status feature from WhatsApp is joining other features that became available in recent times. Some of these features include the private audience selector, status reactions, status profile pings, and status link previews. The voice status feature is currently rolling out globally and will help improve user experience.
