The Manning brothers are once again going to be on ESPN’s airwaves in Week 8.
“Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli” will be on for the second consecutive week and fifth time overall this season. Peyton and Eli Manning are set to broadcast 10 of the 17 “Monday Night Football” games this year, so while the Mannings will be on plenty, there will be the occasional multi-week absence as well.
Will there be one of those upcoming soon? ESPN and the Manning’s have yet to announce the schedule for the ManningCast beyond Week 8, so things are still fluid. Perhaps all parties are scoping out which games it would be best during which to have an alternative broadcast.
When is the next Manning broadcast after Week 8? Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the Manning MegaCast in 2021 and why ESPN chose to debut the program this season.

When is the next Manning broadcast?
Peyton and Eli Manning are broadcasting the Chiefs vs. Giants game on the ESPN airwaves in Week 8. It will be their fifth broadcast of the season; they have an agreement to produce 10 total broadcasts for ESPN throughout the season.
As such, viewers can expect to see the Manning brothers together again on ESPN plenty from Weeks 9-17 of the NFL season (there is no “Monday Night Football” on in Week 18).
That said, the schedule for “Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli” hasn’t been revealed in full. The duo will probably announce their next broadcast date at the end of the Week 8 MegaCast — if not sooner.

IYER: Why ESPN’s Manning broadcast is only right way to watch ‘MNF’
Why Peyton and Eli Manning are on ‘Monday Night Football’
ESPN announced that Peyton and Eli Manning would be joining “Monday Night Football” on July 19, 2021. They weren’t tapped to join the actual booth, but they signed on for “Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli.”
“Offering multiple Monday Night Football viewing options for the next three seasons continues our innovation efforts and provides additional value for our fans,” chairman of ESPN and sports content Jimmy Pitaro said, via a press release. “Peyton and Eli will bring a different approach, delving into conversation about broader, big-picture topics while also honing in on the game, much like fans do when watching with their family and friends.”
The agreement was seen as a big deal for ESPN. Peyton Manning had declined to host “Monday Night Football” for several years due to travel and not wanting to criticize Eli during his playing career. The elder Manning has, however, produced several shows on ESPN, including “Peyton’s Places and “Detail.” Thus, a step into the broadcast booth — albeit from the comfort of his home — seemed logical.
“This partnership with ESPN and The Walt Disney Company reflects an ongoing, shared commitment to offering fans fun, innovative content,” Peyton Manning said in a press release. “ESPN+ has been a terrific partner for Omaha Productions [Manning’s production company] as we built out The Places franchise and we’re excited to co-create a new MegaCast format that will have something for everyone.”
The MegaCast has been a smash success so far, with fans loving the casual commentary from the Manning brothers and the guests that they have brought onto the broadcast. It has served as a solid foil to the traditional broadcast team, which serves as the lone viewing option when the Mannings aren’t producing a broadcast.
