WAFA breathed life back into their survival campaign with a 3-2 win over Berekum Chelsea on Easter Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.
The Academy Boys needed a rapid response after last week’s humiliating 6-0 defeat at AshantiGold.
And they were quick to come out of their blocks by snatching the opener under two minutes in Sogakope.
Youngster Michael Zuo connected home a cross from Sampson Agyapong to register his second league goal.
Before the half hour mark, WAFA doubled their lead from the spot when Agyapong stepped up to convert.
Just after the break, Chelsea were awarded a penalty when Konadu Yiadom fouled a player inside the box.
Henry Ansu converted expertly past goalkeeper Osei Bonsu to pull one back but shortly afterwards WAFA regained their two-goal cushion.
Emmanuel Ofori Agyemang netted in the 51st minute.
Late on, Berekum Chelsea won a penalty and it was converted again for their second goal.
