Barcelona. I Mean, Just Look At It. Would Ya!?
I’ve been a Barcelona resident for over a decade and maybe I’m biased, but this truly is one of the best major cities on the planet.
From the Catalan cuisine to the busy-but-beautiful beaches, Barcelona is blooming in late May/early June and absolutely buzzing as the city transitions from spring to summer.
Public transportation is fast, clean, and efficient. The festival grounds themselves are often no further than 30-45min (drastically helped planning ahead of time, per this article HERE) from your accommodation by bicycle, metro, tram, or taxi.
The city itself is brimming with history, top notch cuisine, wonderfully eccentric and curated galleries and museums, bars and restaurants of all flavors, and some lovely public parks as well as prime people watching.
I don’t recommend filling your mid-festival mornings or days with sightseeing as that’s simply doing too much, but if you can, take a day or two on either end to rest, relax, and take in some of Barcelona’s magic via walking tour, places like the Sagrada Family or Parc Güell, or simply taking the train a little outside of town to somewhere like Garraf or El Masnou to escape the crowds and replenish your soul in the Mediterranean.

It Ain’t Getting Any Cheaper So Buy Your Primavera Sound 2027 Ticket Now
Alright. It’s true, prices go up year after year and I fondly remember days when the whole damn thing was barely over €100.
But the truth of the matter is you can see 2 or 3 dozen acts, more if you’re truly committed, in the course of 3 or 4 days. Do the girl math, festival math, or whatever you want to call it. Divide by whatever, carry the one, solve for X, and what you’re left with is a shitload of bang for your buck.
My view is just one among many, but when I consider the sheer amount of good music I can experience over one weekend while sharing that with my friends and meeting new ones, the spend is never fun but the juice is worth the squeeze. Vale la pena, if you will.
€245 now beats €350 in a few months, and should plans change, your ticket will likely be snatched up in no time in the official waitlist resale platform. Don’t sleep on early birds!

The Lineup Never Disappoints
With over 300 acts year after year, I can honestly say there are usually 100 or so I’d quite enjoy seeing.
On the flip side, perhaps you’re someone who doesn’t recognize many names from editions past but discovered some new favorites this year. Primavera is amazing for this! You’ll be sure to walk away with some new acts with wide catalogues to explore if you’re someone who is there for a couple big names and lets the rest of the weekend rely on vibes.
The bottom line is that with such an insane diversity in genres, countries, and general popularity of the acts across the entire lineup, I can confidently say that Primavera Sound does not disappoint in regard to music curation (as much as the online self-appointed official complainer’s delegation would like to say every year when the lineup drops).
So let it flow. Grab your ticket. Make the purch. You deserve a dance and a little treat.
