Adam Abdel Ghaffar’s new anticipated series, El Faransawy, is releasing exclusively on Yango Play on April 25th, and we can hardly contain our excitement! After a few brief teasers, we finally got a new glimpse into the upcoming series from last night’s trailer and found a few reasons to get you all excited for it.
Amr Youssef’s TV Comeback
Last starring alongside Asser Yassin in 2023’s El-Kateeba 101, Amr Youssef returns to the small screen in his latest role as Khaled Moshir, a cunning and skillful lawyer who bends the law by any means necessary to please his clients under the alias of “El Faransawy.”
An Intense Legal Thriller
Bending the law in any shape or form to achieve his goals, Khaled eventually finds himself in tense and dangerous situations beyond his comprehension. The show is set to present legal cases, investigative work, and action sequences as Khaled further traverses a crime-ridden world.
An Impressive Star-Studded Cast
Starring Amr Youssef in the title role, the cast includes many prominent stars such as Aicha Ben Ahmed, Sawsan Badr, Ahmed Fouad Selim, Gamal Soliman, Bayoumi Fouad, with Jana El Ashkar and Aly El Beialy featured in supporting roles.
Amr and Aicha’s On-Screen Romance
Aicha Ben Ahmed, whose last TV appearance was in El Ghawy with Ahmed Mekky, stars alongside Amr Youssef as his on-screen romance. Featured alongside Amr in Waad Iblis back in 2022, we’re excited to see where their romance will take them as the series’ events unfold.
Visually Appealing Cinematography
The trailer revealed a few impressive shots of Cairo, including eye-catching visuals of Downtown and most likely the City of the Dead, getting us rather intruiged about the remaining shots of the series.
