How to live stream the AFL grand final overseas
The best way to watch an international live stream of the AFL grand final is via the Watch AFL service. This allows you to watch the grand final, as well as every other AFL match, from wherever you are around the world – except for Australia, of course! The subscription also gives you access to the 24/7 Fox Footy channel and the ability to pause, rewind and download games of your choice.
It’s available on a range of different platforms, including the Watch AFL site on desktop, plus iOS and Android apps for your tablet or mobile.
Currently, a Watch AFL grand final pass will set you back $40 AUD, although there are several other subscription options if you want access to more games. The grand final pass will give you instant access to the service for a month (30 days) after signing up.
Be sure to check Watch AFL is available in your region before dishing out for a subscription.
How to watch the AFL grand final on TV overseas
The AFL has a number of international broadcast partners who will likely be showing the grand final live, such as ABC Australia in the Pacific, BT Sport in the UK, Sky Television in New Zealand and Fox Sports in the USA.
Check your local guides to see if and when a channel is covering the big game. Alternatively, a local pub or sports bar is usually a safe option, especially if it’s Aussie-themed. It’s always best to check with them beforehand to make sure they are indeed showing the grand final, though.
If you’re still stuck for options, or just want a little bit of extra grand final coverage, The Roar will have a live blog and commentary of all the action from 2pm (AEST), as well as all the best analysis, news and reaction from the 2022 decider.
