Lately, everyone wants first-round picks. In fact, draft capital informs almost every major transaction in the league right now. Of course, they’re not easy to get. Where there’s demand, there will always be some scarcity.
Recently, the Utah Jazz learned that lesson the hard way. They expected to receive a first-round pick in exchange for Bojan Bogdanovic. Instead, they ended up moving him for Kelly Olynyk and Saben Lee.

Now, the Jazz are likely going to have to accept that they’ve received as many first-rounders as they’re going to this summer. If Bogdanovic couldn’t fetch a first-round pick, neither will Mike Conley or Jordan Clarkson.
Here’s a deal that at least has them getting something for Clarkson from the New Orleans Pelicans.
