A recently discovered bug in iOS 16 renders users unable to open Cinematic videos in both iMovie and Final Cut Pro.
When attempting to open a Cinematic video, the programs will return an error that reads “The cinematic effect cannot be activated.”
Apple has not acknowledged the bug, and there are no known workarounds.
