Sample flights
This deal is not advertised prominently on Play’s website. To find discounts, you have to select your destination and see what the fares are from October through December.
For example, the calendar for a flight from New York Stewart International Airport (SWF) in New Windsor, New York, to Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) shows a wide range of prices from October through December.
Fares from New York to Paris can start as low as $100 and go as high as $234. Of the travel dates listed in this deal, flights Dec.1-8 have the cheapest fares, starting at $100.
Fares for trips returning from Paris to New York are slightly higher, at $164. The flights include a layover in Reykjavik that lasts for approximately one hour.
A round-trip flight from New York to Paris from Dec. 1 to Dec. 5 costs around $290. However, Play tacks on additional fees for carry-ons and checked-in luggage.
The cost to bring one carry-on is $57. The fee for a checked bag is $86. Play charges these fees for trips between New York and Paris.
So, if you were to check a bag and bring a carry-on for a round-trip, it would add an extra $286 to your fare, increasing the total price to around $577.
Seat selection is also not included in the discounted fare. Prices for seats can range from $5.16 for seats at the back of the plane to $41.28 for seats toward the front.

Bottom line
You can find fares as low as $99 with this deal. However, keep in mind that there are extra charges for carry-ons, luggage and seats, all of which can significantly increase the price.
Despite the additional fees, the deal still offers relatively low fares to many popular tourist spots in Europe. You could still end up spending less on a trip to Europe with this Play deal compared to other airlines.
