Hurricane Ian followed the expected path, albeit a little bit further south than anticipated and raced ashore as a Category 4 Hurricane. Not only was Ian a CAT 4 hurricane, the size of the storm was enormous. Yesterday we compiled a list of resources for those evacuating, today we see the arrival of Ian, now downgraded to a tropical storm, as seen by those who weathered the storm.
Hurricane Ian caused flooding
The storm surge caused widespread flooding and as it rushed in, roads filled.
Vehicles floated, and houses sailed away.
We all know that it only takes 18 inches of water to float a car. Think what 8-18 feet of water will do?
Where did the water go?
Tampa Bay found itself sucked dry by the force of Ian’s winds.
