Britney Spears’ mum Lynne Spears has sent a pleading message, begging her daughter to “unblock” her and apologising for “pain” she caused.
Lynne’s comment comes after the 40-year-old Circus singer shared another emotional post to Instagram, explaining to fans why she’s had such a hard time “letting go” of her traumatic 13-year conservatorship.
“The real problem to me is that my family, to this day, honestly have no [conscience] whatsoever and really believe in their minds they have done nothing wrong at all,” Britney wrote.

“They could at least take responsibility for their actions and actually own up to the fact they hurt me.
“For me, just a genuine apology would help give me closure but it honestly blows my mind every day of my life, even after what is known [about] what they did to me, they still act as if that’s ok !!!!”
In a comment that had almost 400 likes at the time of writing, Lynne attempted to apologise to her daughter.
“I am soooo sorry for your pain!” she wrote. “I have been sorry for years! I love you so much and miss you! Please unblock me so I can speak to you in person!
“Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologize for anything and everything that’s hurt you!”
Britney’s conservatorship was finally terminated in November 2021, after her father Jamie Spears’ control over her personal, medical and financial decisions had been suspended that September.
The legal agreement had been made for her in February 2008 when she was 26.

In June 2021, the singer claimed in court that Jamie, 70, had sent her to a mental health facility against her will, forced her to stay on birth control that prevented her from having a baby, and also forced her to go on tour against her will.
Britney and Lynne have had a rocky relationship since her conservatorship came to an end, with the singer publicly claiming that her mother refused to help her when she was being held in a mental health facility against her will.
Lynne and daughter Jamie Lynne Spears were also not invited to Britney’s star-studded wedding to her now-husband Sam Asghari, which was held in June this year.
