A man has died after falling from a boat on Sydney Harbour with the incident to be investigated by NSW Police.
Emergency services were called to the harbour near Neilson Park at Vaucluse in Sydney’s eastern suburbs about 1.30pm on Sunday afternoon.
The man was helped from the water by police from the Marine Area Command and taken to shore where he was treated by paramedics.
Despite efforts to save his life, he died at the scene.
“The man is yet to be formally identified, however believed to be aged in his 60s,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“An 18-year-old man on board the vessel at the time was uninjured and returned to shore.”
Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances around the man’s death.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
