Kwasi Kwarteng
The Finance Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), Kwasi Kwarteng, has been sacked.
His sacking by the Prime Minister, Liz Truss, comes weeks after he announced unfunded tax cuts that resulted in financial turmoil.
In a letter released via his official Twitter handle, Mr. Kwarteng told the Prime Minister that he has accepted her request for him to stand down as Chancellor.
He wrote: “You have asked me to stand aside as your Chancellor. I have accepted.”
