A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man died from stab wounds in Dunedin.
The incident happened on Miller Rd in Momona, near Dunedin’s airport, about 2pm on Saturday.
The man with stab wounds was initially reported to be in a moderate condition but deteriorated while being taken to Dunedin Hospital and arrived in a critical condition. He died a short time later.
On Sunday, police said a 20-year-old man had been charged with murder and would appear in the Dunedin District Court on Monday .

Police said investigations into the circumstances of the incident were continuing. A scene examination was completed on Sunday.
“We continue to ask that anyone with information that has not already spoken to us, come forward and share that with us,” a statement said.

Initial inquiries suggested those involved were known to each other, a police spokesperson said.
The scene was cordoned off on Saturday afternoon while an examination was completed.

Two places remained cordoned off on Sunday, including a brick house and a small grassed area across the road.
