Kiambu police said Chania is the prime suspect in the murder of his spouse, whose lifeless body was found dumped in Kieni forest in Gatundu North.

DCI’s statement

According to a report by the agency, Mwangi was home for the holidays and was brutally murdered in his own bedroom by people close to him.

The suspect had reported her husband missing on Tuesday, October 11.

Detectives said Mwangi, who had arrived home for holiday on September 13, was a few hours away from leaving his home to catch a flight at the JKIA.

Detectives gathered that Mwangi was killed following a love affair involving him and his mistress, identified as Lucy Muthoni, a secretary at a local school.
