Sky News host Caleb Bond says Labor’s industrial relations bill “will be an absolute disaster for the economy and workforce”.
“Workplace Relations Minister Tony Burke struck a deal with independent senator David Pocock overnight that will ensure the bill passes, which will force businesses to engage in multi-employer bargaining,” Mr Bond said.
“In simple terms, it means that all “like” businesses … would all be ultimately subject to the same terms and conditions of employment.”
Mr Bond said the bill would be a “disaster for businesses that are already having a tough time through inflation and the like”.
“All those businesses would have to negotiate as a group with unions to reach one single agreement for everyone.”
