Multiple agencies are searching for a missing diver in Wellington.
Police said the diver was reported overdue this afternoon in the Karaka Bay area after they did not return from a free-dive.
Police, including the maritime unit and dive squad are searching for the person, as well as Coastguard and Surf Lifesaving.
A helicopter is also circling the wider area.
“Further information will be provided as it becomes available,” police said.
