Motorists asked to avoid area in Māngere Bridge after bus crash

One person has been critically injured after a crash in South Auckland involving a car and a bus.

Police said the crash in the suburb of Māngere Bridge was reported about 6.30pm.

Part of Kirkbride Road was closed, and motorists were asked to avoid the area.

A Serious Crash Unit investigation was being carried out.
