London Stansted Airport live: ‘Person hit by train’ on line as trains cancelled

A person has been hit by a train on the line from London to Stansted Airport. Emergency services are attending and all lines are currently closed.

The incident happened between Broxbourne and Bishop’s Stortford. This is the only train line to Stansted Airport.

Routes affected are Greater Anglia between London Liverpool Street / Stratford and Bishops Stortford / Stansted Airport / Cambridge / Cambridge North.

According to an update from National Rail: “A person has been hit by a train between Broxbourne and Bishops Stortford. Emergency services are attending the incident and as a result all lines are currently closed.

“Trains may be cancelled or revised until 6pm.”
