After Napoli drew first blood on a 17th minute Piotr Zielinski goal in its first match against Inter Milan this season, the defending Italian Serie A champions rallied back with three consecutive goals and a 3-2 win. Just four games later, Inter played its way into first place in the league table and hasn’t looked back. After falling to fourth, Napoli battled back to one point behind the Nerazzurri heading into the weekend and has a chance to take the top spot back on Saturday when the two meet again. You can see what happens next when you stream the game live on Paramount+.
Kickoff from Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples, Italy, takes place at noon ET. Italian Serie A picks for Napoli vs. Inter Milan
Before tuning into Saturday’s match, you need to see the Inter Milan vs. Napoli picks from European soccer insider Martin Green. After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since then, his European soccer picks have been spot-on. Green has generated over $37,000 for $100 bettors since the 2017-18 season, and he has his finger on the pulse of the game all over the globe.
For Inter Milan vs. Napoli, Green is backing Inter Milan draw no bet at -120 odds. This means that he is picking Inter to win, but should the match end in a draw, the bet will push. After a 14-match unbeaten streak in Serie A, Inter faltered in its last league date against rival AC Milan last Saturday, 2-1. The Nerazzurri responded with a 2-0 win over Roma in their Italy Cup quarterfinal matchup, but Inter arguably has more on the line this weekend against Napoli.
Inter’s Edin Dzeko has made an impact after a seven-match scoring drought. He’s scored two goals in his last three appearances across all competitions and taken 13 shots in those games. Fellow attacker Alexis Sanchez also scored against Roma and scored in the club’s Round of 16 match against Empoli in its previous Italy Cup fixture. He comes in as the man on form after also scoring twice against Bolivia in Comnebol 2022 World Cup Qualifying on February 1 for Chile.
“Alessandro Bastoni is out for this game, and Joaquin Correa is a doubt, but the Nerazzurri are otherwise at full strength,” Green told SportsLine. “Inter has lost just once on the road this season, so it will not fear a trip to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Napoli has the second-best home record in Serie A, after Inter, but it has lost three times at home.”
