Kenyans Infuriated by Video of Young Man, Woman Dancing While Dangerously Hanging on Moving Matatu

A video showing young people precariously dancing on a moving matatu has angered many Kenyans online.

The undated footage depicted a man hanging outside the door of the passenger service vehicle (PSV).

The man was dressed casually in a white t-shirt, dark trousers and white sneakers.

A woman wearing a striped jumpsuit sensually danced for the man, who let go of the door handles with one hand to touch her.

The person recording the video from one of the PSV’s windows could be heard loudly cheering the duo, oblivious of the danger they were exposing themselves to.

Encouraged by the applause, the lady moved further out of the vehicle, as they continued to gyrate to the loud music.

They eventually got back to their initial position, with their antics leaving many Kenyans online unamused.

Touts dangerously hang on matatu

In a similar incident, two matatu touts were on the spot for performing dangerous stunts while the vehicle moved.

One tout was seen excitedly doing backflips while firmly hanging on the vehicle’s door.

“Another tragedy awaits their commuters and other road users. I think the government should take total control of the transport sector,” one Kenyan wrote.
