Liverpool and Manchester United face off at Anfield on Tuesday night with the stakes high for both sides. Where the hosts are concerned the equation could not be simpler: A point will take them top of the table, but to really ratchet the pressure up on Manchester City, they will need to beat their great rivals.
Manchester United could do with all three points as well. Ralf Rangnick’s side are not yet out of the race for top four, with Tottenham and Arsenal having lost at the weekend. However, Cristiano Ronaldo will play no part in the game after the death of his baby son.
