Typhoon Haikui heads for Taiwan

Thousands of people were evacuated in Taiwan and all domestic flights cancelled as the island prepared for Typhoon Haiku. Southeastern areas cancelled school classes and told workers to stay at home. Officials said the storm posed a ‘considerable threat’ to parts of the island.
