A trend on social media is on the rise as people asking for napkins is taken to a whole new level.
Countless videos have been posted on the popular video-sharing app, TikTok, where people asked their family or friends for a napkin, only for the other person to walk away and grab a shirt of another and rip it off their body for the first person to use as a napkin. Several videos have received hundreds of thousands of views.
A viral video posted by @marcusgonzalez02—which has received over 200,000 likes and has over 3 million views—shows a woman requesting a napkin only for a man to rip the shirt off someone while petting a dog that’s in a walker.
Many users shared their comments on the popular video above, finding it quite comedic.
“This is the cleanest execution I have ever seen,” one TikTok user wrote.
“Umm I’m more interested about the dog,” commented another, “what’s happening there.”
One laughed, “Just when I thought I couldn’t laugh any harder I see the dog in the walker!!!”
A user exclaimed, “this one’s the best I’ve seen!!!”
“Hey bro can i get a napkin,” asked @oambreeze as they captioned their video, receiveing over 147,000 likes. Someone needed a napkin after “accidentally” dipping their hand in ketchup, luckily a man had a white shirt ready to be used.
“Bro eating ketchup with fries,” one commented under the popular video.
“tshirt sales after this trend,” one said, using multiple emojis in the shape of a graph with a red line increasing in height.
“Never let them know your next move,” another warned.
@rouba21 posted a viral video that received over 19,000 likes and 229,000 views, watching as her friend ripped off the shirt of a person sitting on a bed.
“Lmaooo. Best one yet” one commenter admitted.
“why does everyone’s shirts break so easy,” asked another.
A TikTok user commented, “This is too funny omg.”
Since posting their rendition of the trend, @luvv.grac5 has received over 168,000 likes and 966,000 views as they walked over to a person sitting on the couch to rip off their shirt in order for their friend to have a napkin.
“the way she had to drag him to fully rip the shirt,” one user laughed.
“the more i watch the funnier it gets,” commented another.
“I can’t with these,” admitted a user.
The social media app has been a popular platform for trends. Whether it’s a new makeup trend or just one made up for fun, Tiktok is the place to be. Recently, parents have been sharing videos of their kids reacting to them asking to back them up in a fight. Others have recorded themselves going to the movie theaters dressed up to watch Minions: The Rise of Gru.
