Bromley boss Andy Woodman is hoping his side will prove a slippery opponent for League One side Blackpool when they visit Hayes Lane for their FA Cup first-round draw.
The Ravens booked their place in the first round proper after a 3-2 win over National League rivals Wealdstone on Saturday and were drawn against Neil Critchley’s Tangerines in Sunday’s draw.
Goals from Arsenal loanee Alex Kirk, striker Michael Cheek and attacker Ben Krauhaus saw the South Londoners progress.
Blackpool are seventh in League One and are looking for promotion back to the second tier of English football after relegation in the last campaign.
Bromley are yet to play in the Football League as a professional club.
“I’m hoping it’s going to be the proverbial banana skin,” Woodman told TalkSport.
“A full house for us is just under 5000, so it will be a big game for the football club.
“Some of these boys have played at the level and they know what it’s like to be on that side, but some of them, like Michael Cheek – the top goalscorer in the National League – has never played in the league.
“He wants to put himself against better opposition. It was a big focus of mine. The big thing is to make sure you’re in the hat for Sunday because it’s an exciting day.
“I don’t care what level you’re at or what competition, to see your ball pulled out is exciting.
“Leading into the game, as the manager now, you’re thinking: ‘I hope we can get through to make all these people have a better week. There will be a real feel-good factor around the club, selling advertising or lounges.’
Dulwich Hamlet ended a run of three straight defeats in the Isthmian League Premier Division after beating Kingstonian 3-2 at Champion Hill on Saturday.
Hakan Hayrettin’s side went three goals up following strikes from Danny Mills, Akwo Ayuk and Luke Wanadio.
Kingstonian pulled back two late goals from Mark Waters and Niran Butler, but Dulwich saw out the game to claim all three points.
“I thought we were better than them for the whole of the 90 minutes,” Hayrettin told Dulwich’s YouTube channel.
“We could have had more – they were three cracking goals.
“But good teams who go on to do better things manage the game better, and that’s what we need to do.
“But overall I’m very pleased. It’s three points at home again. Hopefully we can get better and better.
“I have put more than 20 players together in a melting pot.
“They’re all very good footballers and sometimes it takes time for them to understand how I want to do things.
“Good teams when they go three-nil up need to do better – that’s something we will work on.”
