Stockton Town will commence their second consecutive Northern Premier League East campaign at home to Worksop Town, following release of 2022-23 season schedule.
The Anchors missed out on promotion via the Play-Offs last season following a 2-1 defeat to Marske United in the Play-Off Final, although they will now start the new season as amongst title favourites with their first match of the season to be played at home on Saturday 13 August against Worksop Town.
Stockton then face a trip to Ossett United three days later on 16 August, before hosting Garforth or Pontefract Collieries in this season’s FA Cup Preliminary Round on Saturday 20 August.
Michael Dunwell’s Anchors will then meet Hebburn Town in midweek league action on Wednesday 24 August, followed by a bank-holiday double-header as they visit Stocksbridge Park Steels on 27 August then host Shildon on 29 August.
September’s league action then sees Stockton at home to North Shields and Cleethorpes United on 7 and 17 September, either side of a trip to Pontefract Collieries on 13 September.
Stockton will also be in First Qualifying Round action of 2022-23 FA Trophy as they face a tough trip to Witton Albion, Northwich on 10 September.
October will see the Anchors hit the road on three occasions with away trips to Lincoln United, Grantham Town and Brighouse Town, alongside home matches on 15 and 22 October against Dunston and Bridlington respectively.
Stockton will host Carlton Town and Sheffield FC on 5 and 19 November either side of a trip to Tadcaster Albion on 12 November.
Non League football will continue to be played throughout the delayed 2022 FIFA World Cup which runs from 21 November to 18 December, with the Anchors facing a trip to Grimsby Borough on 26 November followed by a home clash against Long Eaton on 3 December.
The reverse fixtures are scheduled to commence on 10 December, with Stockton visiting Cleethorpes before heading to Worksop seven days later, ahead of a Boxing Day clash at home to Consett to round off 2022.
Stockton begin 2023 with a trip to Shildon on Bank Holiday Monday 2 January – having beaten them 1-0 at home in their opening clash of 2022 – before games against Ossett, Hebburn, Pontefract Collieries and Long Eaton that month.
February will see the Anchors face local trips to North Shields and Dunston on 8 and 18 February, in-between home clashes against Lincoln and Grantham on 4 and 25 February respectively.
March brings about trips to Bridlington and Carlton on 4 and 25 March either side of a home game against Brighouse on 18 March.
A five-game final month run-in across 22 days in April will see Stockton host Tadcaster then Stocksbridge Park Steels at home on 1 and 8 April prior to a fierce trip to Consett on Easter Monday 10 April.
Stockton will then play Grimsby Borough in their final home match of the season on Saturday 15 April ahead of a final-day trip to Sheffield FC on 22 April.
