Notorious Japanese crime boss Satoru Nomura was enraged that he had come up short.
The Yakuza chieftain, 77, now on death row in the Asian nation once had a nurse murdered following a penis enlargement procedure that he felt gave him the shaft.

So Nomura put out a hit on the plastic surgeon’s nurse who was present during the botched penis enlargement and hair removal procedure. It was revealed that the gangster was less than pleased with the results.
Nomura was the first ever Yakuza boss to be sentenced to death. For decades he had been the kingpin of the Kudo-kai, the most violent of the Yakuza organized crime groups.

At his 2017 trial, Nomura allegedly told his hitmen to carry out an “organized retaliation” because he “unjustifiably resented the failed surgery.”
Nomura targeted the nurse because of what he felt was her mockery during the procedure’s aftercare. The elderly gangster is now challenging his death sentence and guilty verdict.
According to the Asia Times, Nomura became infuriated when the nurse dismissed his complaints about post-surgery pain. She allegedly told the mobster: “This can’t possibly hurt as much as getting one of those Yakuza tattoos.”
Apparently, Yakuza hitmen found their target in January 2013. The nurse was discovered stabbed in the head on a street in the city of Fukuoka. It was one of a slew of crimes that Nomura was convicted of.

He was sentenced to death in 2021.
Before being escorted from the courtroom, Nomura snarled at the judge: “I asked for a fair decision … You will regret this for the rest of your life.”
These are hard times for the Yakuza. Membership is falling and their power and influence have waned over the past two decades.
The Yakuza was long tolerated in Japan as a necessary evil to ensure order on the streets and getting things done quickly and efficiently. But it appears it is the twilight of the Yakuza — much like their American cousins.
In addition, the government has cracked down on the gangsters sending dozens off to prison — and Nomura to death row.
