The Toronto Raptors are a dark horse to make a blockbuster trade this NBA offseason. They have been mentioned as a possible landing spot for both Kevin Durant and Donovan Mithcell as they can build a compelling package for either player.
Toronto has a great blend of tradable contracts, young players with a ton of upside and all of their draft picks. That is the formula to being in the running for All-Star players on the trade market as the Raptors look to cement themselves as contenders in the Eastern Conference.
One of the most interesting tidbits to come out of the Durant sweepstakes is the fact that Jaylen Brown has reportedly been made available. Brown was part of the proposal that the Boston Celtics made to the Brooklyn Nets, which was declined.
While the Celtics may not be actively shopping Brown, this could present an opportunity for other teams to at least submit offers for him. While he is signed through 2024, Brown could now start exploring exit plans from Boston if he no longer feels wanted by the organization.
