Anthony Edwards has ascended into superstardom this year with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He has fully embraced the role of a leader and has shown that he has all the intangibles to be a star for many years to come.
While on the Run It Back show, Shams Charania revealed that Edwards will likely be on this year’s Olympic roster. Not only does the young star want to play, he intends to start with the team as well.

Edwards suited up for the United States team in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. In that time, the athletic guard averaged 18.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
The 22-year-old will be joining some elite company this time around. Big names such as LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Jrue Holiday, and Kyrie Irving have all expressed interest in joining the team.

Edwards would make the perfect addition to the team. Gaining experience to have for years to come would be great. However, it is his two-way ability that would really help the United States. While Edwards is known for his flashy dunks, he is a more than capable defender as well.
All signs lead to Edwards being on the team when the roster is officially announced. It will be interesting to see what other stars have an interest in joining the superteam as well in the coming months.
