Police have issued an arrest warrant for former Home and Away actor Orpheus Pledger, after he allegedly left Royal Melbourne Hospital during a court-ordered medical assessment.
Pledger was taken to the hospital on Monday after he was granted in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court, where he had faced charges for allegedly assaulting a woman.
The 30-year-old was ordered to return to court after the assessment but did not appear yesterday.
Police are appealing for public assistance to help find Pledger.
Pledger is described as approximately 170cm tall with brown hair and tanned complexion.
He is known to frequent Northcote and surrounding areas.
“Investigators have released an image of Pledger in the hope someone may be able to provide information on his current whereabouts,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
The actor has worked on a string of popular Australian television shows over more than two decades.
Pledger started his career as a child actor on The Secret Life of Us before he appeared on McLeod’s Daughters, Blue Heelers, Neighbours and Home and Away.
He appeared on reality TV show SAS Australia in 2022 but voluntarily withdrew from the show after just two days.
